Privacy policy
This page is the privacy policy referenced by the app’s Google Play listing.
App: Boyman (package uz.abdinazarov.boyman) on Google Play Developer: Abdinazarov, an independent developer based in Tashkent, Uzbekistan Contact: your email here Effective date: 11 September 2026
The short version
Boyman collects nothing about you. There is no account, no login, no ads, no in-app purchases, no analytics and no advertising identifier. The app declares no Android permissions at all — not even internet access — so it cannot connect to a network and cannot send anything anywhere. Your progress is a single file inside the app's own private storage on your phone.
The rest of this page explains that in detail, including the one way a copy of that file can leave your phone: Android's own backup, which runs under your Google account and which you control.
1. What we collect
Nothing.
We do not collect, receive, store on a server, transmit, sell, rent or share any personal data. We operate no servers and no back end of any kind. We never ask for your name, email address, phone number, date of birth, location, contacts, photos, microphone, camera or files.
This is not a promise on paper only. The app's manifest declares zero permissions, including no android.permission.INTERNET. Without that permission Android does not allow an app to open a network connection at all, so no data can be transmitted from Boyman even by accident.
2. What is stored on your device
Boyman keeps one save slot: a single JSON file named save.json, written in the app's own private storage at
/data/data/uz.abdinazarov.boyman/files/boyman/save.json
next to a backup copy save.json.bak and a short-lived save.json.tmp used while a save is being written. This folder is private to the app: other apps on the phone cannot read it, and it is removed when the app is uninstalled.
The save file contains your game progress only:
- the nickname, emoji avatar and city you typed when starting the game;
- your in-game balance, companies and their levels, holdings, merges, shares, cryptocurrencies, properties, vehicles, residence and collections;
- taxes due, lifetime earnings, total taps, unlocked achievements, tap level;
- your daily streak, best streak and the timestamps the game needs to calculate offline income when you come back.
The nickname and city are free text you type yourself. They are labels for a game character, not identity fields — we never verify them, never see them and never need them. Type whatever you like; there is no reason to enter real personal details.
All the money, companies, banks, brands, coins, paintings and billionaires in Boyman are invented. The save file holds no real financial data, no payment details and no real money of any kind.
3. Android's own backup — the one copy that can leave the device
Boyman's manifest has android:allowBackup="true", which is Android's default and which keeps your progress when you replace or reset your phone. This means Android itself may copy the save file:
- to your own Google account backup (Android Auto Backup / Google One device backup), and
- to a new device during a device-to-device transfer, when you set up a new phone.
This copy is made by the Android operating system under your Google account, not by us. We receive nothing from it, we have no access to it and we cannot read it. It is handled under Google's own privacy policy and your Google account settings.
You can turn this off at any time: Settings → Google → Backup on your phone (the exact path varies by manufacturer), or by switching off backup for this app in your Google account's backup settings. Turning it off means the save stays on the device only, and that progress is not carried over if you change phones.
4. Third parties
None.
Boyman contains no advertising network, no analytics SDK, no crash-reporting SDK, no social login, no cloud save and no third-party service of any kind. Nothing inside the app profiles you, tracks you across apps, or reads an advertising ID.
The app is built only from Google's own AndroidX and Jetpack Compose libraries and the Kotlin serialization library. These run on your device and send nothing anywhere.
The single third party in the picture is Google Play, which distributes and updates the app. Anything Google Play collects when you download or update Boyman is between you and Google, under Google's policies, and is outside our control and our view.
5. Diagnostic messages
When something goes wrong while reading or writing the save file, the app writes a short message to the Android system log on the device. These messages stay on the device, are not sent anywhere by the app, and are overwritten by the system over time.
If you have chosen in your Google account to share crash and diagnostic data with Google, Android may report crashes of any app to Google Play. That is an Android platform feature under your own control and Google's privacy policy — not something Boyman does or receives.
6. No purchases, no ads, no real money
Boyman has no in-app purchases, no subscriptions, no advertising and no reward that has value outside the game. It is an offline single-player business simulation. It is not a financial service, it is not investment advice, and it is not gambling — nothing in it can be bought with real money, won, exchanged or cashed out.
7. Children
Boyman is suitable for all ages. It collects no personal data from anyone, so it collects no personal data from children either. There are no ads, no purchases, no chat, no user-to-user features, no user-generated content, no external links and no social features of any kind.
Because nothing is collected, transmitted or shared, there is no data of any child (or of any adult) for us to hold, profile, misuse or disclose. We handle this app in line with Google Play's Families policy, the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the child-data provisions of the GDPR — all of which we satisfy by collecting nothing at all. If you are a parent or guardian and have a question, write to your email here.
8. How to delete your data
Your data is on your phone, so you delete it on your phone. Either:
- Uninstall Boyman. Android deletes the app's private storage with it, including
save.jsonand its backup copy. Nothing is left behind. - Or clear the app's storage: Settings → Apps → Boyman → Storage & cache → Clear storage. This erases the save and starts you from zero while keeping the app installed.
There is no delete button inside the app, because there is no account and nothing of yours is held anywhere outside your device.
If Android backup was switched on (see section 3), a copy of the save may still exist in your own Google account backup. You can remove it from your Google account's backup settings, or on the web under your Google One device backups.
9. Your rights
Data protection law gives you rights to access, correct, export and erase the personal data a company holds about you. We hold none — no database, no server, no log of users — so there is nothing for us to look up, export or erase. The only copy of your game data is on your own device, under your own control, and section 8 explains how to remove it.
10. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date at the top. If a future version of Boyman ever changes what it stores or introduces anything that leaves the device, this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the change will be described in the app's release notes on Google Play.
